We love telling stories about Jessamine County and all its people, cities, places and things....this radio program is broadcast on Nicholasville radio station WNJK FM, 105.9. Hosted by Doug Fain, this page allows us to place archived versions of each show so that you can listen to it anytime!

Doug Fain has held the elected position of Jessamine County Circuit Clerk since November of 1998. Prior to that, he served 5 years as Mayor Pro-tem and Nicholasville City Commissioner.

Doug is a 1980 graduate of Jessamine County High School and a 1991 graduate of the Mid-America College of Funeral Service. Doug continues to be licensed as a Funeral Director and Embalmer. He has also held licenses for apprentice auctioneer and life insurance agent. At the age of 15, he started his career as a disc jockey for radio station WNVL –AM which he later co-owned along with station WCKU-FM.

In 2016, he celebrates his 39th  year as the public address announcer for West Jessamine High School and Jessamine County High Football. In 2009 he retired as the Master of Ceremonies of the Jessamine County Fair pageant after 30 years. Doug is currently, along with Norman and Denise Cline, over the Old Time Radio program troupe of the Creative Art League of Jessamine County. He has also been a cast member of the Paul Sawyier Story which is produced at the High Bridge Park every September. He has, for many years, served as announcer for a number of charity events, such as Relay for Life, veteran’s recognition ceremonies, various horse shows and beauty pageants around Central Kentucky.

He is married to Amy Carol Pritchett and has three children, Haleigh, Jonathan and Katie Beth.  Doug is the son of Ruth Ann Rhorer Fain and the late Kentucky Artist Howard Fain.
