Hello and welcome to the Couch Funeral podcast. The show, co-hosted by Travis Swope and Mike Watkins, is centered on news, politics, society and culture, and long form conversation format.  Through four years of Trump and the rise of covid, we found ourselves having heated debates about politics, the role of government, and the responsibility of citizens throughout the US. These were conversations we were having already and decided to turn it into a podcast. What makes us unique is that we are not trying to fit people into a red or blue box. We are not trying to convince each other that one of us is right and the other wrong, but rather to ask the questions that lead to better solutions. We disagree on most things but one thing we are completely aligned with is anti-hate. When you respect other people, you can have uncomfortable conversations without tearing each other down. Our goal through thoughtful conversation is to get people to think!
