Thank you for visiting the Diakonos: A Cop's Calling patron page! My name is Anthony Weaver and I'm the host of the podcast. I spent 20 years in law enforcement, retiring as a Sergeant from the Lancaster City Bureau of Police in Pennsylvania at the beginning of 2021.
I deeply care about the law enforcement profession and it’s mission to serve and protect. Unfortunately, law enforcement is under attack and it’s mission is being polluted by our culture and the social justice movement. As a result I started this podcast to promote law enforcement with biblical truth and to help people better understand the calling of a police officer.
Much of the success of this podcast is directly related to my patrons who give to the podcast on a monthly basis. Over the past year my patrons have helped me purchase hardware for the podcast to include a table for my guests to sit at and soundproofing items. Patrons also assisted me in paying subscription fees needed to keep the podcast running and launch a website. By becoming a patron you are becoming a part of a team that believes in the mission of this podcast and desires to help it improve and grow.
