Hark! Spend a little penny on my lovely mental health podcast.
Hello, I hope you're well? I'm Harriet Dyer, an alternative comedian based in the UK. In 2014 I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder and ever since then i've been using my comedy to help spread awareness about mental health. Here is a clip of such - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/disability-39379545/h...
Due to my mental health I found gigging difficult so crafted my own little circuit of opportunities that suited me. I wanted something to help me see some "ups" when i'm stuck downwards in a vortex of bipolar doom so started a podcast called, "Don't Worry, Bi (polar) Happy." It's a weekly podcast of brain guff, attempting to be positive and telling good people's good news each week. It seems to be doing well so thank you so much for listening, it really is appreciated. Doing the podcast really has changed my life for the better, even when at my darkest times it's given me a focus. I want to expand the podcast and interview people who have acquired positivity out of a struggle, people who are inspirational in the mental health world and of course people that still struggle as such is mental health. I've already got an idea of a few of the folk that I think would be brilliant, do be sure to let me know yours too? I want different, unique and interesting perspectives on mental health of whom share many means and ways of coping.
Anything you give will go to me and my podcast, the more you can give the more I can do with it. I'd be oh-so grateful I would, thank you for your time, it's very much appreciated.
