We here at IM-Pulse think that it is high time that internal medicine embrace podcasting as the virtual classroom for advanced medical education in the modern age. Podcasts such as EM-rap and many others, particularly in the field of emergency medicine, have paved the way and shown the world the possibilities inherent in this unique medium for continuing education. Internal medicine and other specialties have been slower to join in. Our vision is to create a podcast with content that is fun, interactive, educational, and helps to move the dialogue surrounding the emerging literature in our field forward. Our shows will feature critical appraisal of the literature, interviews with experts about their patterns of practice, and review of foundational concepts in our field. Most importantly, it will keep you engaged and motivate you to read further and think critically on your own.
