Dear prospective/current Public Comment listeners,

Welcome to and thank you for glancing at my Patreon Page. The gift of your time is precious and I appreciate, when I consider the deluge of information it can feel as if we are utterly bombarded with, and how busy so many people might seem, that it would happen to be the case that you felt compelled to learn more about my politics and philosophy podcast: Public Comment.

For those of you just learning about me for the first time, my name is Sean O’Connor. Since it tends to follow that defining and “targeting” a sort of key- “niche” audience is fundamental for shaping a sense of purpose to one’s productivity, and facilitating one’s marketing efforts significantly as well, I found that it is my hope to reach those who are happy to think of themselves as "critical," "creative," and "introspective" "thinkers."

Inspired by the philosophical yet personal and free-thought flowing style of talking in essays of Michel de Montaigne, talk-radio and political pundit personalities like Rachel Maddow,  I’ve pursued a goal of expressing my thoughts in such a way that intellectualism and artistic spirit could intertwine, and resisting, all the while, as much as possible, any kind of manipulative approach to marketing, attempting to boast of my sly and clever advertising schemes or, as Bob Dylan puts it, those:

“advertising signs that con you

into thinking you’re the one

That can do what’s never been done

That can win what’s never been one

Meantime life goes on all around you.”

So, roughly 5 to 6 days a week (unless “life happens” and certain practicalities prevent me from doing so) I upload- via the fascinating medium of the podcast- my personal yet analytical contemplations on any topic I fancy from a practical -clarificationist and social democratic point of view.

If my podcast should satisfy your criteria for outstanding quality, certainly any contribution you believe justified would help me in my goal of successfully paying my bills as a full time podcaster. Also, should you have any constructive feedback, I do love good conversation and want to know what you think!

Thank you again so much.

Most sincerely,

Sean O’Connor
