Hey there! I have always run a free ministry, supported by donations and book sales, and I always plan to stay that way but the truth is that what I do costs not just a lot of time but money. I rely on donors and patrons in order to keep my husband from having to foot the bill for this ministry work--whether that be the cost of books, recording equipment (video and audio), the two websites, etc.
We show what we value in our lives by what we do and do not invest in. I personally invest in this, and I hope that you will as well.
