My name is Stevie and I produce the daily podcast 'Fighting For Ukraine ' hosted by Ukranian journalist turned civilian fighter, Yuriy Matsarsky.
Yuriy reached out to a group of audio producers at the beginning of the second week of the invasion in Ukraine asking for help to bring his story, and that of the Ukranian people, to a Western audience. I suggested he start a podcast and within just one week it took off and has gained traction amongst the media worldwide. Various news outlets have featured his story and Jordan Harbinger has even interviewed Yuriy.
Like most men in Ukraine, Yuriy has been separated from his family as he stays behind to defend the capital city of Kyiv. His family are now safely in Europe and he is trying to raise money to send them as they are now refugees in a foreign country. His daughter is 17 years old, has one more year left of school and is not with any of her family in a foreign European country.
