Hi, I'm Zdenek, a qualified English teacher from the Czech Republic. Two years after I graduated from the university, I started Zdenek's English Podcast with the aim of getting more speaking practise and improving my English proficiency.
I never thought for a second that podcasting would soon become an important part of my life and years later I would have an audience of English learners who benefit from it.
There are now more than 400 episodes in the archive. Most episodes are interviews with interesting guests that I've met, whether in real life or online. My guests come from all different parts of the world, they're often English teachers, and some of them are quite famous - like Luke Thompson from Luke's English Podcast, who has been a guest a few times.
There are also more personal episodes that describe my experiences of taking the CELTA and DELTA courses as well as IELTS exam and becoming an English teacher in London. Some episodes are also a bit experimental and based on improvisation.
